Eschweiler Jumping Festival 3/8/2020- 13/8/2020

The Star of the Show; Catapult, jumped clear every single day in the Ladies, Medium Tour & Grand Prix. With heights ranging from 1m30-1m50, 6 rounds and 6 top 8 placing's every. single, day! Catapult, my HOYS red wall superstar, at 15 years old, proved why he is my hero.

Hippo B jumped some great rounds in the Large Tour and a clear in the 1m40! We tackled our first world ranking Grand Prix and, at only 8 years old, he proved that he definitely has the scope, willingness and ability to be my top horse of the future. A bit more training and experience is needed before my next Grand Prix at Pyecomb. I am very excited to see where my young, self produced superstar may take me!

Ivanhoe stepped up to jump some amazing clear rounds in the 7yo1m35 classes. He jumped clear in the Grand Prix each week but was unlucky in the jump off. Having only jumped one 1m30 before coming out here I was very happy to see him finding the step up so easy, showing braveness and immense athleticism along the way. What Ivan's future holds, i'm not sure... But, I can Guarantee that it will be High Jumps and Rosettes!

Another Horse stepping up, Jinostar, jumped his socks off in the 6 yo classes. Jumping clear around 1m25-1m30 courses. This horse really rose to the challenge having not jumped many age classes before or ever been abroad. Another talented young horse with a bright future.

I am a very proud trainer of Emma Davies. She secured her first international win on Prosecco and a number of top three placings in the 1m15 classes.

Heathrow also jumped beautifully and regularly placed in the top 5 in the 1m25 classes. Emma, with her regular training and dedication to both her Horses and the sport, achieved some fantastic results and it was great to have her there. Having sourced both Horses on behalf of Emma its great for me to see them working so well together around some larger tracks.

Overall, after a blisteringly hot 2 weeks, I'm very happy with how my string of young horses stepped up and improved over the course of the show. The experience was invaluable to their production for the future. We now turn our focus to some shows in england with the youngsters and plan to take the older horses abroad again early next year.

My thanks go out to Charlotte who had the horses beautifully turned out each day to compete, my dad for driving and being the best supporter, Jess and Izzy for holding the fort at home, my sponsors, supporters and owners who makes shows like this all possible.
